225M alloy refurbishment

Afternoon all,

I have some 225M alloys I'm looking to refurb, well change the colour actually. However I'm aware they are famous for cracking so I am wary about doing any work on them especially when they will be baked as part of the refurb process.

Question is, is it worth the risk, or am I better off getting some replicas in the colour I am after? I do prefer the styling of the 225M and there doesn't appear to be any similar looking replicas about.

Baking will be fine. Go ahead and refurb them.
