Airline ticket deals?
I'm not a frequent flier and was wondering how some of you who are get your tickets. I'm looking for cheap tickets to Munich for ED and I'd prefer to fly into Munich and out of Frankfurt but so far a 1 way ticket to Munich is more than a roundtrip. I don't have frequent flier miles (for obvious reasons) so I'm just looking for the cheapest price I can. I'd really appreciate some help

Try Lufthansa's 2-4-1 deal for BMW ED customers. Go to bimmerfest.com ED Forum and there's an updated post right there. You can do open-jaw trips ie: into MUC and out of FRA.

I should have mentioned, unless I can find a friend or relative with the time free I'm going to be flying solo. The 2-4-1 deal would be great if not for that though

Ahhhh ok I got ya. There were some deals going on to Europe earlier this month. I'm sure there'll be more sales soon.
The problem is going into MUC and out of FRA. Not many US airlines go into both places. United is your best bet. Lufthansa will tend to be more expensive because they charge higher taxes. Sometimes British Airways has some good deals to the Continent. You'll have to connect through London Heathrow of course.

make sure you check out travelocity.com sign up for their weekly letters. Sometimes they have trips to Munich for about $650 roundtrip. |

I did my ED in July of '05, and Singapore airlines had a great roundtrip fare from NYC to Frankfurt.

I'm looking my self for tickets and here is some links I can share with you.
I get best price from www.orbitz.com. Another excellent tool to find tickets is www.kayak.com www.Expedia.com became very expensive lately Here is the link to Lufthansa web site http://www.lufthansa-usa.com/241BMW/welcome.html, but if you fly alone - not use to you - they are expensive. Hotel in Munich - http://www.hotel-uhland.de/ Very useful link about driving in Germany http://gettingaroundgermany.home.att.net/autobahn.htm Good luck
