Sorry guys, retired on the car platform and progressed in my own professional career.
Would love to help others / myself as modding is addiction but professional life is overwhelming these. Hope all if good mate.

I don't know. I sent him a few imessages about the dash cam install. One last month and one this month.
Truth be told... MS symptoms flare up so hands getting very tired quickly. It's basics like a subwoofer install as well - done many in my time. So I don't feel confident attacking the roof lining because if I am out of steam it will stay off until I have the energy. It's not coding or some fancy retrofit it may not float his boat. I don't want to push the guy. May have family commitments and stuff or whatever reasons. Being straight is always appreciated even if it is "you can do it yourself mate." I did ask John Kleis (Reading) for a quote. Guess what £300 to fit some poxy amp wiring because it is £75 an hour when they don't supply the goods. Note that is the sub alone. The cam is a priority. My one broke so I brought a hard wired one. I had an accident last week. Someone went into the back of me. Thankfully I had a witness. I would have felt better with footage though. |

I will be visiting friends in Corby next month so can pass through. My in laws live in Tamworth anyway so that is a monthly visit. Happy to pay.
The problem is there are too many no good shysters on here. They get banned and come back under different user names probably from anonymous browsers. I made a thread on F30post and someone sent me the guys username and number - number matched! The time waster and not so knowledgeable one we spoke about last year. Hard to trust someone with your pride and joy. |

Totally agree with the above regarding some peeps just take the mick and don't even do decent jobs when you can get them to work on your car.
This is why I ended up doing the full rear brake swap (calipers/lines too etc) on my X5 as the quotes were just ridiculous from garages etc. If you are up in Tamworth regularly then I'm in Wolves and can help you out on the dash cam front if you're struggling. I just installed my Thinkware F770 front/back kit.

Can you post some pics of your cam fitted so I can see what it looks like? I dont want a massive camera on the dash, ideally something small that can sit behind the rear view mirror would be good!

When dest helps to fit it, I will post some photos... my one is big... it is the BMW one. You are probably better off making a new thread asking what dash cams people have or recommend.

Personally think front/rear is a better way to go these days.

I've got a DDpai Mini 2, this is it in my old car, I've not fitted it to the new one yet
The cover on the sensor under the mirror cuts off the bottom corner, but I specifically wanted it as hidden as possible. |
