Leaking brake line

Posted this in the M2 forum as well but figured I'd get more advice here lol...

Hey y'all!
So basically, I did a caliper and rotor swap on my M2; just hooked up my pressure bleeder and found that there's a leak somewhere. All the calipers are fine however I noticed some moisture on the right rear brake line where it connects to the hardline. I ended up replacing the u shaped clip mount (the silver piece) because it was bent however it's still leaking (although it's losing pressure slower than it was before). Any advice? Obviously it's either the brake line male port or the female port on the hardline but I just wanna get some thoughts first... Thanks!

Are the brake lines OEM? How many miles on the vehicle at the moment?

Got it. Thanks. This is a good opportunity to replace OEM brake lines with aftermarket stainless steel ones.

i wonder if a soap test would work for something like this. Take some water and dish soap and spray the area then pressurize the system with your bleeder and see if any bubbles appear. it might give you a could indication of where the issue is. It could also be that the flare nut just needs to be tightened a bit more...

I doubt its the hard line unless there is debris or the flare is damaged.

That rubber line looks relatively new but if that's the issue its a much easier fix...like the poster above said, it could be an opportunity to upgrade.

Soap test for gas, not liquid. You can see liquid leaking, so there's no need for bubbles.

gas shmass...I want bubbles! smell the magical mercaptan flowing through the air.

if its leaking, there could be air in the system...unless this leakage resulted from the swap.

If the problem is one of the brake lines, absolutely. If the problem is the hard line, it's probably better to fix the hard line and leave it at that.

If the pressure bleeder is causing a leak, live with it until you can get the brakes bled, then watch it while someone hits the brake peddle. That's likely to show exactly where the problem is. If you're concerned about the paint, wrap the hose with a rag.

Be sure to give the area a good rinse as soon as possible, just in case any leaking brake fluid sprayed or splashed.

The OP just swapped the rotors and calipers. You don't think the dealer will notice this change and claim it's the fault of whoever did the swap?

In any case, I wouldn't drive a vehicle where the brakes are leaking from a pressure bleeder.
