New Colors Coming Next Year!

Didn't see this posted yet.

See article mentioning more colors will be offered next year. Individual paint program still off the table.

MY 2024 production will begin late August, very early September 2023. It is highly doubtful it will happen then. If I had to guess SOP for additional colors will be in April 2024.

You know you've messed up the color choices when you announce new colors for future MY before the car is released this year.

More Exciting Colors Are Coming to the BMW M2 After Next Year.

That doesn’t sound like 2024 considering this year is 2023.

Maybe if I get on the list again now I’ll be just in time for a 2025 allocation now…I’ll be stuck enjoying my TR until then.

That sounds like MY 25 to me. It's seems like more color options would have been obvious from the start, but whatever. I'm happy with TR.

The article specifically states "if you can wait, there will be new colors in a couple of years." That's def not next year. It's MY '25.

Definitely not a sure thing; the part that stuck out to me was "at least".

"According to Schröder, more exciting colors will eventually head to the M2’s color palette but it won’t happen until at least 2024."

Given what we do for a living, you'd know much better than I would, but as an outsider, that's always been my assumption.

They could launch the car in nothing but doody green and just by virtue of being a new M2 it will sell more than the factory can make. Then, after the hardcore enthusiasts have swooped up the '23s, you throw out some more attractive colors to win over the fence sitters, holdouts and even some people that just bought last year, and once again, you sell more than you can make.

And of course, after that it's the Comp then the CS then the next generation and there will always be a latest and greatest just around the corner because the marketing people know how to part people from their money.

Only problem with that is not everyone wants or needs a car the length of a yacht. They don't seem to take that into consideration and think anyone that's looking at the M2 and wants more would just move up to an M3/4.

It needs a standout color like Signal Green (man I would love that on the M2).
