Mine is my summer car, which practically speaking ends up being end of March to the beginning of November. Otherwise it'll be sub 45 degrees all the time and the summer tires aren't quite capable of the requisite traction.
My daily is a 2017 Macan GTS. Which certainly scratches the fun itch and gives me a bit more confidence when the snow hits. View post on imgur.com

I do my daily 60 mile commute in my M2. I'm in Oregon so the winter is pretty mild. I just got a set of all seasons though. These sub-freezing mornings are a little sketchy on the summer tires.

Update! The M2 has a new garage companion and I have a new daily driver. 2024 BMW 230i xDrive. Traded in the JCW.

Loving this new 230i. Better suited for my "daily" driver needs than the JCW. Mainly because the 230i has an automatic. |

And if this M2 is basically an M4, then it's also basically a Ferrari, so I do plan to take care of it.

Yes. I make more money than 96% of Americans and yet I can’t afford a 75k toy weekend car. Idk how y’all can either. My car is my car, it’s gonna be driven daily.
Plus I’m in the freezing Midwest. Gonna find out how she handles in the snow with snow tires. Didn’t even think of that when I got it lol. Trial by fire I guess, |

I do it daily. 6 speed is awesome. The first day I got my new car my friend and I drove her from Seattle back to Boston. By the way, she is much more comfortable than my previous f82 m4 for long-distance driving.

To me the G87 isn't raw enough to be anything but a daily. Nor is it fun enough to be a weekender.
Don't get me wrong, I like my G87, but it's a step back in fun factor versus other M cars I've owned. And definitely less fun that my old Giulia QV or Supra. That said, it's a great daily commuter - comfortable, fast and full of tech. Just keeping it real... |
