I don't mind the comment at all. I'm always open to a critique.

I took that pic right after I took the wheels off. I have blocks sitting off to the side to rest it on if need be, but that brings up a point.

I am using jack pads and the floor jacks to lift it at the lifting points. Where does one place the blocks or jack stands? Can they be placed near the lifting points on the "frame rail" for lack of a better term?

Thanks 👍

I told my wife that the TR was a really nice color but she saw it on an SUV and didn't like it. I still think had I ordered and not got this one from dealer stock I would have went TR 👍

I think you use separate jack points under the car. There are posts about it. You then place the stands where the jack pads go.

The front jack point is fairly obvious, but I'm not sure about the rear jack point. I think you use the rear diff. Can anyone confirm that they've done that?

There are the little "boxes" that the jack pads go into behind each front wheel and in front of each rear wheel. So right now I lifted the passenger side with two floor jacks using jack pads at those lifting points but I couldn't find anywhere that said where to place jack stands? I either missed it in the owners manual or the manual is moot on that point.

When the tire shop did my new tires they just used four floor jacks and jack pads using each lifting point. Car sat on those floor jacks for over an hour.

You have any pictures of the 12/12? I was thinking about doing the same thing when my car arrives.

I shall post once I have them on but remember my rear tires are 295/30/20 so they will poke a bit more than stock with the same spacer.

Got the passenger side done. Time consuming but it went well.

Took the wheels off, washed them, iron remover and degreased along with calipers. Final cleaning with IPA diluted to approx 18%.

I used Armour Wheel ceramic which went on easy. Put two coats on.

They look amazing and feel super slick.
Put the 12mm spacers on and had the kid help because my alignment pins had not shown up yet. PITA to line up the wheel and spacer without help.

I'm happy with the 12/12 especially with the 295/30/20 rears. I would have definitely gone 15mm rear with the stock 285/30/20.

As for fronts the 12 mm with the stock 275/35/19 is fine for me. I don't feel it's worth going to a 15mm with stock tires and it not being lowered.

Maybe lowering it makes a difference and one needs wider spacers?

Anyway, the other side will get done tomorrow

Lowering the car with 15mm in front will give it a very nice aggressive and flush look, however you need to be lowered. I’m at 1.4in lowered in front (1.2 rear) and I have 15mm on stock tires. Previously I had 12mm in front lowered and it still sits inside the wheel well.

Since you aren’t lowered, I’d keep the 12mm in front until you decide what to do with springs.

I don't plan on lowering it. I figure this is the year the dune buggy look comes back!!

Does your car ever feel laggy or hesitant when you put the pedal down? I notice it most in 3rd and 4th when I floor it around 4K rpm's. I know that is not the ideal rpm range for those gears to be floored but just toying around with different revs and throttle positions and these ones feel wonky. It's like the car doesn't quite know what to do for a brief moment and then it starts to scream towards redline.
1000000% this, especially in 3rd. 1 and 2 - crazy drama, and then a few seconds of deadness in 3rd before picking up again. Once in 4th, it picks right back up.

I’m still in break in, so I have to be careful top end,and keeping it in full DSC for now, but the shift from 40 in 2 into 3 is where I want power the most. Maybe switching to MDM gives a bit more drama in the 2->3 shift?

Do you have a 6 speed manual? I wouldn't expect too much juice at 40 MPH in 3rd gear.

When I'm driving 3rd does feel the most hesitant to me. It is most likely turbo lag like Geighty7 says but it's a weird stumbling/hesitancy feeling that reminds me more of timing corrections than turbo lag.

Yup, 6MT.
After 1300 miles, gonna try shifting 2->3 once I maybe hit like 6200ish rpm. Curious to see if I get less lag at that point.

12 is conservative but still fills out the gap some. I did 12 f/r as well as a band aid until the new light weight wheels with proper offsets go on and the boat anchors can away. They definitely help.

This is 12f/r on oem with the MP HAS at the port installed height. Conservative but fills out the gaps some.

2nd will take you well past 60mph by design. You shouldn’t feel any lag shifting 2-3rd there, with all that built up boost.
Wishing you a hasty break-in.

Yeah they are definitely heavy wheels and tires. I had to have my kid lift them due to some injuries and he told me they are damn heavy.
