Kavaca is from the makers of ceramic pro. High quality ppf and tint as well. I went with them on both as well as ceramic pro coating on top of ppf.

Mine are ceramic coated and I'll probably list them when my new ones arrive for like $800 obo for the set for local pick up. But honestly will be surprised if much demand.

If you sell with the ps4s then someone is much more likely to buy just for those.

I sold mine with PZeros for $1,700.

Had a fun Sunday with some mods, starting with an ABS plastic honey comb sheet from amazon which I cut to measurement to fit the exposed bottom section of the bumper for a little protection to the radiator and coolers.

Next was the cf magnetic paddle shifters from madtrace/JQWerks which came matte, which I clear coated to give them a glossy look and topped it off with some red nail polish on the -/+ to give it that oem look.

Got some more things coming in the following weeks.

Car had an Akra exhaust, it was very fizzy and certainly had a lot of presence. Didn’t love the clutch, felt a bit woolly and light but I’m sure that can be sorted. Whole car felt substantial, more sophisticated, more refined than an F87. Felt very G series BMW, which is a good thing. You can tell it shares the same chassis DNA as my M340i, it just felt so well screwed together. I can see why you guys love it so much, it’s a lot of car. My 718 GT4 has been retired to street duty, and I’m building something primarily for track. Was pretty much set on an A90 Supra… now I kind of want a G87 😬
You get it now, it's pretty damn good. I didn't think it would be as good or hell somehow better than my F87C but it is, blows me away.
Now straight track car, even though it's fast, handles like it's on rails, and punches above it's weight, it's still a street car first. I would think a GT4 would be a better base simply by weighing like 400 lbs less and using less consumables.

First wash following PPF and ceramic coating. Looking forward to removing the winter wheels/tires.

What wheels/tyres will you fit for summer?
Always a strange idea “winter and summer tyres” for us in Australia; interested to know what qualifies as a winter tyre for a performance car…

GT4 is a bit easier on pads/tire, but it’s offset by the fact it’s a significantly more expensive car so track insurance is much higher.

BMW haven’t made an actually light car since the E46, apart from the Supra which is light(ish) by comparison. There are a lot of very fast Supras out there. I run in TT so weight is less of a penalty as it allows you more power. My E90 was close to 3700lbs and I loved that car. Similarly an SS 1LE is heavy but it handles like a champ. I don’t think the weight is a big an issue as people make it out to be honestly. With the G87 your getting a super well built car, with bullet proof cooling, tons of power and tuning head room, great tech, excellent chassis, really good brakes out of the box, no known weaknesses so far (rod bearings, crank hub etc.). In a lot of ways the g8x is the most out of the box track worthy car yet from BMW. And you can get all that for $65k?!

What dimensions did you use for the honeycomb and how did you attach it? That's the cleanest DIY that I've seen.

I haven't received my car yet, but based on another guy's post - I got those same honeycomb grille inserts. I think these look way better & more OEM vs the aftermarket mesh versions I've seen. Those are nice in their own right, but too noticeable & look aftermarket.

Yeah the joys of winter weather...
These are Michelin Pilot Alpin 275/35/19. Wheels are square set from an M4. These handle very well in all winter weather driving conditions.
Summer are OEM wheels PS4S. Bought the car in winter with summer tires on it.... less than 50miles on them.
Didn't get enough drive time to even attempt to push those tires but previously used on other vehicles. They are great.

57 cm x 16 cm were my final dimensions and I secured it with 4 zip ties one in each corner by the center, there’s a bracket behind the trim near the ACC sensor, and the trim completely covers the zip ties so you cannot see them unless you get down and look at behind the trim directly.

Looks perfectly stanced. Who did your HAS install? I'm about to pull the trigger on a kit and trying to set expectations for install cost since I don't think I want to tackle it myself this time.

Yes, PS4S are awsome, did a track day with them in my G87… amazing grip and feel… will be fitting them on my 718 Spyder after the Cup 2s need replacing 👍🏼
