Installed Future Classics 12mm spacers and TLG guards in the rear. Didn’t have time to do the front today. Really noticeable difference front and back now.

Had my R8 for a over a year. I got it right after I got lucky to slow down for a speed trap i didn't know was there, a state trooper. That spooked me enough to get one.
It's a great device with super far reach. Paid for itself the first couple times it saved me.

Great features of this thing including parking mode convinced me to get it. Will be installed by BMW next visit. I learned the hard way of the disadvantages of not having a dash cam.

Axxceon rear reflector delete.
Pretty straight forward, no need to take off the bumper or break the reflectors if you simply push the pins from the back of the bumper.

Yeah I did mine the same way - if you fish your hand up there its perfectly doable to just pinch each clip and pop them out.

Not sure why all the online videos and whatnot have folks pulling the bumper or destroying the reflectors.

Did you research other options like the BlackVue? I am looking to get a dash cam for my upcoming M2 but was wondering how this compares to other options.

I did before and now, and maybe not too in depth. But nothing really grabbed me in terms of features, quality, that I wanted and to be able to be properly hardwired without battery issues. Only thing I'm missing that I wanted is cloud access.

Here is a video of the features:

One I am keeping my eye on is here: https://www.vantrue.com/products/s1-...AaAkUnEALw_wcB

I'm so with you on this. Every time I read Mario Andretti post, "I lost the tire lottery", I just laugh out loud. Pirellis - one of the all time greatest tire brands & for good reason.

I didn't get Michelin or Pirelli - I got Yokohamas. I care so little, I couldn't care less if I tried.

You got Yokohamas on a new G87? Summer performance or run flats? Which ones?

All I have to say about Pirelli tires for consumers is overpriced and under quality.

I've had decades of personally-experienced horror stories on OEM Pirellis across numerous makes and models (anyone who has had them on Porsche knows in particular). When I saw what was on my G87 I threw up in my mouth a little. I least I know what to expect.

Yokohamas here as well. Was a bit surprised, having read the forums.

If you closely pay attention, as I have been doing for a year now, you’ll see the same pattern:

NONE (and I mean none, as in 0) of these claims are said by someone who knows it to be true, or has proof of it, or ANY experience with one or the other.

ALL have not experienced all options.

MOST here of the more vocal crowd don’t even own a G87. Let that sink in.

This is not just about tires, but the tire lottery fallacy is the worst offender for sure.
Experienced many options (Michelin P4S, Pilots, etc, Pirelli P-Zero, Yoko, Toyo, Nitto, Nanking all used & new (slightly)).

You couldn’t be further wrong or from the truth. I can tell you don’t spend much time on track. Seems like you’re one of the vocal crowd you claim in your last post.

BUT- Many won’t notice on street driving which is fine, but on track there’s levels here.

Pirellis are great! But each tire has its pros and cons. I’d argue Michelin PS 4S last tad bit longer and get me on the rails a bit more with a slightly straighter shape sidewall than the P-Zero.

Now like I said above- nobody will notice on the road. Both are great options for street driving. At that point, its just a looks game and logo visual.

That is a good question - I do not know if they are run flats, but here is the info from the sidewall: Advan Sport V107, BMW star rated. Nothing I see states/indicates that they're runflats & they're definitely summer tires, given the treadwear rating (240). It's a nice looking tire, too - but the sidewalls are not as straight as I typically like (like on the Michelins).

I have the standard 19/20" wheels. I can add this about them - they're rather quiet tires, which I like. Hopefully it's not just because they're new.

Added an HKS oil cap. It reminds me of an HKS RB26 crate motor now. Love it.

Interesting. I kept reading from other sources that the G87 didn't have a CDV in it. Your post obviously proves otherwise.

I just finished a Rogue Engineering SSK install and had to drop the mid pipe. Doing the CDV delete with the midpipe out would have been a ton easier. Well, guess I'll have to pull the mid pipe again. Maybe time to do a single mid pipe conversion
