I watched that video today. Was it the clutch slipping or just the tires spinning? I am hoping to hear more on the racechip in the 6mt cars as I am considering installing one.

From the little I have read/heard so far I really like the feedback about less lagging or bogging down when hitting the accelerator. I wish the 6mt was a little more twitchy and responsive and if that gets cleaned up then yay.

I feel the exact same way. When speed shifting and gettting from the top of your RPM range in 2nd getting into 3rd, there’s about .25 second of lag or bog when gassing it. I took the CDV out but only a tune will help the “twitch” or immediate power of the gas pedal.

Yes. 3rd gear right after revving out 2nd is very laggy. I also feel like flooring it in 2nd gear when under 4000 RPM's takes a little too long to get you going. 1st gear no complaints. can't speak to any of the other gears as going 105 in 3rd is plenty of speed for me. I am hoping a piggyback tune with help with these dead spots.

It's a little frustrating because if you use launch control it seems like most of that lag between shifts goes away.

Installed a new front splitter from Maxton, the Street Pro V2. Unfortunately, I might have to remove it since I haven't been able to get it approved by TÜV yet. If I manage to get it registered, I'll definitely keep it because I love the way it looks.

Will it ever stop raining here in the Twin Cities, MN?? I typically avoid the elements after washing the car so it stays clean for a few days. It has been raining nearly non-stop and will continue this week. I moved my car to the far side of the garage so I could fit my wife's suv in as there was some hail in the forecast. Big day for driving the M2

Yeah they were just ok. Coverage was good, but fitment wasn’t great and the plastic started to warp/bend in between the rivets on the front flaps. They did the job, but it just bugged me after awhile.

Wow - NICE

These are what should've come on the car to begin with.

Battle complete. Pain in the ass to prep and ceramic coat these wheels, but totally worth it and like car therapy in its own way. But the number of angles, grooves, corners, cubbies, hideouts, caverns and hovels on these things is insane. Still have to get the remnants of the mounting lube out from the lip of the tire, but the rubber faces are cleaned up and the wheels will be cured and slippery by the morning.

Thanks, agreed! I like the OEM wheels, but they're not aggressive enough to match the lines of the G87 (IMO).

For sure. Wheels need to cure overnight, and my OEM wheels need a deep bath before doing the swap and going into storage. Photos to follow.

Unhappy 2025 new silver wheel

Just talked with my Parts Mgr. The new '25 all silver wheel, many of us seem to like, is in the Parts Book, but, he's not able to order yet, due to availability.

So many better forged options out there… even in silver!

I'm kind of afraid to ask... A front lip requires 'certifying' from some government body? Is there anything in Germany that doesn't require red-tape?

While I completely agree with your final assertion, I’m not sure how I feel about regulation to that level. Frogs in a pot and all that…

Edit: Don’t want to derail this thread. I asked with sincerity even if I was a little snide.
