Would you mind posting some video clips later? I can only find one AA EL video clip with a ZB G87 in a parking lot lol. Trying to decide AA EL vs Single. Thanks!

Went AA EL as well a while back. Night and day difference over oem and more aggressive than the single. May end up eventually pairing it to the AA axle back as well for a bit more since it maintains oem valve control.

I also have the AA EL Mid and absolutely love it, aside from the cold start. Cold start sounds like shit. I've never heard the single, but I wanted the more aggressive option and I have no regrets.

I have a video of revs but don't want to deal with uploading to youtube. PM me your phone number / email if you want and I'll send you the video.

Yeah sounds bad even in comfort cause it rattles the valves.

Cold start with valves closed is still pretty tame imo until you upgrade the dp or go valveless axleback. But coming from a v8 with long tubes and full exhaust I guess anything sounds tame lol.

But honestly barely louder than oem on cold start with valves closed other than that initial rattle. But if you park rear first and start with garage door shut its non existent outside.

I'm not talking about the volume. It is just a terrible sound.

Ah got it. Ya the frequency introduced by the EL on the oem axleback. It only lasts bout 15 seconds or so but it is there. Dropping to gear does make it go away immediately though if wanting.

But another reason upgrading to the AA axleback may be on the horizon for me personally. Both for the deeper and pronounced tone and in theory to kill off that initial rattle, regardless if it is only short lived.

If you end up going this route definitely post some videos. Curious to see how the stock exhaust with the AA EL compares to AA EL and AA axle back.

Did you by chance get these at AR by Ron? I believe they are the only ones doing custom 3 piece. Looks great!

Prob going to grab the AA axle back or the MAD axle back when it releases. Price is stupid for an axle back on this car which makes me lean towards MAD.

Agreed. The rattle is worse when the valves are closed, so you have to choose between a disgusting rattle that isn't insanely loud with valves closed, or a thunderous roar that sounds decent with valves open. I definitely leave the garage closed during cold start if I take the m2 out early in the morning.

Even though I just had a total knee replacement 6 days ago I had to get to the garage to install this. IND always does a great job on custom painting. #ind-distribution

FINALLY coded out ASD. I thought I had done this in Bimmercode simply be deactivating it, without expert mode. Went through the expert mode steps and now understand why people say this car is quiet. Motivation for a midpipe!

Do you have a link for this exact procedure?
