What width tires you going with on those?

My rears are 20x11 and the stock 285 pirellis look small. Was thinking to try 305s.

Yeah, those tires are too small for 20x11s. Smallest I would go is 295/30/20...optimal size are 305/30/20 and depending on offset and amount lowered, you may be able to fit 315/30/20.

You may need to modify the vents in the front fender liners depending on tire size and amount lowered.

Just figuring out wheel specs for my soon to be M2. Are you running Spacers?

I assume this about as aggressive a setup as you can run or I am missing something?

Goal for my setup is to be flush, have a large lip or concave and sit nice w/no rubbing with a small, MP HAS type drop of 10-15mm.

Understand I may need to add the fender lining clearance kit too.

Thanks

The 285s will stretch, but they are not too small. There are other members on this forum running stock tires on 11s with no problems. I have wheels on order and am planning on using them on mine until they wear out, then I'll go to 305s.

I have the stock 285 Pirellis on my rear 20x11's currently they are fine. Tiny bit of stretch but certainly not too small and totally safe to run.

No, I don't spec wheels to run spacers, kinda defeats the purpose of custom wheels.

My current wheels are 19x10 +11 and 20x11 +8. Rears are perfectly flush, front need a few mm. This is the same fitment as 15mm front and 18mm rear spacers. Also goes to show you people running 12mm front spacers on stocks are so far off. Roughly 5-8mm from being the right fitment.

Hence the new wheels are 20x10 +8 and 20x11 +8. New fronts should be damn near perfect, within 1-2mm. Will see once they arrive.

Front fender liners you can just heat up and push inwards. Or yeah buy the aftermarket ones but I dont think it's worth the $ personally.

Just realized super hard shifting in MDM = annoying wheel chirps and too much loss of power. Hmmmm.

This doesn't look correct.
I am running stock tires on 19x10.5 and 20x11 with no problems whatsoever.
You can refer to this page. The maximum you can go with an 11-inch width is 305.

Just installed the SST valve controller. Super easy install, took me about 20 minutes. The difference is pretty amazing, much louder. Remote is simple and works well.

Also picked up my IRL single midpipe, having it installed Friday.

Installed the ///M rear brake caliper clips that the 2024 M2 didn't get.. I went for the black clips (34206881294) but they are also available in red (34306884799). However the shade of the red clips is a bit different than the red calipers, so be aware if you decide to go with those.

Install was very easy. No need to even pull off the wheels, but I did on one side just so I could take a closer look at things.

I just bent the "pin" on the back of the clip down with a small pair of needle nose pliers, then slipped the clips into place. The "pin" then snaps into the hole on the caliper to lock it in place and keeps it very secure. Great quick upgrade that finishes things off nicely.

Be wary of these, I thought mine were on securely but still managed to lose one.

^^^ Thanks for the heads-up about that! I'll certainly keep an eye on them.

I noticed that they were quite easy to remove with the "pin" bent only slightly down and would come off with some wiggle while pulling. However when I bent it down to a nearly 90 degree angle and slid the clip on, the "pin" really dug into the hole and made a very strong and noticeable "Sproing! Click!!" sound when put in place. And at that point it seemed quite solid.

But good advice regardless and something I'll watch out for, especially since there isn't anything else (adhesive) reinforcing the hold of the clip.

The surface on your rear rotors looks brand new, like your M2 hasn't even been driven yet. Either you have no miles on this nice coupe or you drive very lightly & don't use the brakes much. LOL

🤣 Good eye! Yeah, only 42 miles on it when I installed the clips and took that pic. Must admit I was so excited for the M2, that I acquired a box full of parts for it well before I even received the car. LOL!
