Just took a look at the configurator and images on BMW app for my upcoming 2025. Seats appear to have black stitching in the centers. Not sure why they would have changed it.

Wow you're right, I just looked at the 2025 configurator and the rear seat base and upright back center stitching is all black...but the front seat center stitching is still gray! wtf BMW

I’m assuming this is not applicable to the black with blue stitching seats considering they literally advertise the color of the stiching for the seat.

Wow tasteless. Sorry you're having to deal with all that.

I've always worked with a broker to help with the experience. The fact you can't get your agent on the phone is crazy. The fact you already escalated to that specific department I'd think would help so hopefully they take care of you soon.

MHC+ Edition 1 kit. 2+ month wait but good things come to those who wait and overpay for carbon pieces.

Freshly ppf’ed and ceramic coated on the kitchen table much to my wife’s liking .

Install hopefully this weekend along with new EBC red brake pads.

My car was delivered with a defective row of stitching and I have been trying to get a replacement cover under warranty for 6 months now. Each time my dealer has ordered the part, it shows up with black inner stitching while I have gray/silver. This happened 3 times apparently.

Today they emailed me and stated that BMW told them that the gray stitching version is no longer manufactured so they are not available. They are going to attempt to repair it instead.

I was wondering if my seats are unique due to being frozen paint or something, or if they did a changeover at a certain production date.
my 2024 BG auto with the black/M highlights has the same gray stitching you have, for both front and rear seats.

are they confident to repair with the same thread color? otherwise i'd personally prefer to replaced the entire rear bench with the updated leather configuration, ie seat back and bottom.

Yeah I am considering requesting that path as well, only on the fence since it would require that much more disassembly and reassembly allowing more chance for something else to get screwed up.

Weekend project 1 of 2 completed. Didn’t have time to swap brake pads, and I still need to pick up the one-time use locking nuts anyway, so that’ll be a task for another night this week.

Anyway, the good news, MHC kit installed. I’ll post a full write up soon in the Exterior sub but a few pics for now.

Yo, need a better side profile shot of those skirts! One that's not such a close-up, I'm looking at the same ones.

Will get some proper photos soon! Not much room to get a less close-up shot.

understand your concern, i'd feel the same way. Perhaps they can brief you on the disassembly process. Cos i wonder if they have to remove the seat back section has to be removed to access the seat bottom covers anyway.

I replaced the OEM shifter rear carrier bushing with Rogue Engineering's upgraded bushing. I put the car on jack stands and wiggled myself under it. I pulled back the heat shield just enough to get some working space. 2 screws are holding the stock bushing in place and take an 8mm socket. I used a flexible socket extender to get to the bolts. I was extremely careful not to drop the screws because they would have fallen behind the drivetrain heatshield. I just took my time. I used long needle nose pliers to wiggle the stock bushing off the shift fork. Then, I wiggled the RE bushing on and tightened down the bolts.

The shifts are smoother and less notchy. The lever glides into gear now. This upgrade has significantly reduced the binding feel when shifting into first and second. Overall, gear changes now feel more sturdy and polished.

Did you skip the delrin front bushings? I thought these were only sold as a kit with the rear carrier and front bushings.

Looks like you can buy just the one: https://ind-distribution.com/product...XW5LedSSHUJMP1

The kit with the front bushings is also listed there.
