What did you do to your M2 today? (G87 Edition)

I used a stripe wheel just fine on my frozen paint. Just don’t be a dumbass. Mine had zero shine or scratches when I was done.

Changed fluids today. Manual trans, diff, and engine. Replaced the diff drain plug with a magnetic plug from MMR and replaced the trans drain plug with a Turner magnetic drain plug. Also did an MMR magnetic engine oil drain plug.

I was thinking the oil filter was going to be a real PITA, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I was expecting.

Interestingly enough, I drained 1.3L out of the trans although manual specs max 1.6L.

Pick up random metallic shavings and debris that may end up in the fluids. Less wear. I had the dealer use the MMR oil and Diff magnetic plugs at my break-in service...could be voodoo, but maybe will pick some stuff up.

My brother has used them for years and occasionally catches something on them that you wouldn't want floating around...

I use them on all my cars. Of course the trans and diff plugs pick up more debris, but you will get stuff on the oil drain plug too.

You can get a surprising amount on trans plugs for sure.

SmokeyandtheBandit did you do the pro ceramic yourself or pay a certified installer for it? I had it quoted at $1,500 for someone to do it. I want to do their regular Carnac myself then maybe try the pro myself in a year or so.

I paid $1500 for my detailer to do it.

Installed the MHC diffuser today. Took about 20 minutes. Didn’t even lift the car.

Probably the first time in my life I’ve watched a YouTube tutorial and it didn’t take me 5 times as long to actually do.

(And yes I have a dirt smudge on my recently washed bumper)
