I love Kuda mounts , have had them in all my BMWs. Where did you pull power from for the MagSafe charger?

This is one thing that annoys me about the car since my passenger seat is my phone mount and I always leave it in the car ..I love that you posted this, and found the mount:

I’ve had a kuda since my F30 328i! They really are the best mounts.

I just plug into the center console usb port. The cable is flat so I can still close the cover.

Washed the motorway/winter muck off the car, needed a good soak in Polar Blast and a rinse before I went anywhere near it with a wash mitt.

Do not need new sensors unless the current pads were so worn down that they triggered a warning.

Followed BIGW0RM’s lead by selecting the 3-series in bimmercode and coded “Ivory” ambient lighting to “Red”.

This function is locked out of iDrive 8.5 for some reason in the 2-Series, but not 3-Series modules. No more pink ambient lighting!

Do we know what works for 8.5 and what doesn’t? Probably easier to post what does work as I hear most functions are locked out

All settings in the Headinit Control menu are definitely inaccessible. Some settings in the Body Domain Controler like the ambient lighting are not available. I think they just need to update the app since we can change it through the 3-series module.

I’m not entirely sure what else beyond that.

Nice - I need to do this. Is it pretty straight forward once you’re in BimmerCode?

Yes. Just choose the m3 vs the m2. Ambient lighting is under the body domain controller.

It’s my understanding that it’s the same in the m2 and m3, but bummercode hasn’t added all the features to the m2 area yet.

I only changed the colors. Noting else. And I did it on accident. But it works fine.

Yup! Just go to Body Domain Controler and change these two settings:

Ambient lighting color (i-level 22-07 and later)

Ambient lighting color bottom (i-level 22-07 and later)

These will change the upper and lower colors when you select the “Ivory” color in iDrive.

Carbon seat backs - originally planned on just the centre top bit but thought if you’re gonna be an animal BE A BEAR! So went all out. Looks good with the interior theme of carbon black & red

They’re dry carbon and a perfect fit. I had a dash cam installed yesterday & the installer was shocked when I said they weren’t OEM.
They’re not cheap, but I didn’t want to go the AliBaba route as these match the carbon weave of the interior very well.

I finished installing the Stage 1 Bavsound speakers & Bavsound ghost subs. 6hrs of installation, lots of swearing & 1am later I finished it… Never again.
The sound is night and day & first impressions are very good. The ghost subs I am hoping wear in a bit as they’re a bit punchy still. Recommend the product, but pay someone to do unless you’re advanced at taking the car apart.

Do you have a sunroof? If so, your subs might produce a noise when the roof is open. I ended up retuning mine and Bav stated it wouldn’t be worth ordering another set as they most likely would produce the same noise.

It looks like you removed only one column of fins. That’s what I plan on doing with mine.

Can you confirm that’s what you did, and if so, that’s all that’s needed to prevent rubbing?

I did the outer column and did test it going up and down my driveway while turning the wheels and no rubbing..

i was going to remove all the fins but they do serve a purpose of deflecting debris and got this idea from this guy..
