Is ppf really necessary for the carbon roof?

Absolutely! I recently got rid of my F80 M3 which had stone chips in the CF roof that started to chip away at the edges. I was worried that would lead to delamination or other problems with the CF. No body shop or CF specialist near me would take this job and I didn't want a DIY fix. I traded in the M3 sooner than I originally planned to. PPF would have probably saved me from this.

Really don't want the AZ sun aging it quicker than needs be.
More worried about sun damage than rock chips but that's just an added bonus.

Airbag warnings

Installed the black cover-up decals I purchased off Ebay over the visor airbag warning stickers.

Here are the ones I ordered and installed (YMMV):

Mattress tags are next!

10mm spacers

Not today, but recently...

I wanted a bit of tuck, not quite flush. 10mm seems just right to me, at least on stock 930M wheels, Conti DWS06Plus in stock sizes, and stock suspension (for now).

I experienced no rubbing full lock in either direction forward and reverse entering/exiting my somewhat inclined driveway, with a small amount of suspension compression going over the gate track. Visually there is clearance to the vents at full lock.

Took off the BBS LM’s off for good and storing them away until someone buys them or if not, I just use them as a coffee table

Going for more of a cup car spec- more to come on this. BBS won’t last on track lol.

Enjoy these last few flicks! Rocking OEM wheels will be fun again.

Exactly why in the desert we always encourage high quality films for ppf, tint etc.

I’ve been going to Hyer Quality Detail for all my wraps on the Miata so took the M2 there.

They’re doing full tint, full front PPF and roof, and ceramic coat. Should be getting it back tomorrow!

Awesome. Ya high anti ir/uv/heat helps alot here. I used Detail Boss in Scottsdale. Kavaca ppf, tint and ceramic coating.

Keep an eye on your side rockers too. Is a spot to consider when doing full front / roof and not full car.

I’m hoping the stone guards I installed will help with that enough. I actually really like the look of them. Almost like they came with the car and not some big Subaru mud flaps

Aha! Here’s something I didn’t know I needed. Care to share a link? No doubt cheaper and easier than swapping the visors for Euro-spec.

Discovered two things recently (maybe this is common knowledge and I missed it but figured I'd share):

1. Shifting speeds of the ZF auto trans vary by throttle input. So, if you're in gear shift speed 2 of 3, and you have 90% throttle applied, shifts are significantly faster than at 10% throttle. Makes sense but thought that was cool.

2. If you're using automated cruise control, and the car in front of you stops thus causing cruise control to stop your car, when the car in front of you starts moving, you don't have to hit the gas pedal to get your car moving again, you can press "Resume" on the steering wheel and your car will start moving again.

Garage List
Milltek 102mm Single Non-Resonated Midpipe installed at EAS!

Sounds deep and aggressive without excessive rasp and no drone at highway speeds! I had a PSI Midpipe on my G82, which was loud, but suffered some rasp and highway drone. My wife hated the PSI, but she actually likes this one!

Before and after sound clips will be posted soon.

Picked up from PPF, ceramic, and tint.
Getting the screen matte PPF is hands down a must.

For sure. Will likely do the pavilions on occasion and maybe the next no fly zone event too.
