I liked the look/price/availability of the wheel. I can live with spacers if I need to change the fitment. Since I'm lowering I figured I would fine tune the depth after that. They make the 20x10 in a +8 but the 20x11 is only available as +18. Expert@ApexRaceParts may be able to comment further.

Believe me when I say, I'm not upset with them at all. They didn't charge me for the alignment, the technician actually messaged me on Instagram explaining everything, swapping wheels and tires was only $64 per wheel, and on top of all of that they're helping me sell the wheels that came off. This mishap was really the dealer just trying to go above and beyond, just not having the right software/equipment. My G87 is the first and only one this service department is currently seeing.

You can change the Low Fuel mileage/km warning with Bimmercode, I did.

As to the Gas Station located, just say yes at first prompt and be done with it.

What REALLY happens is that redline is moved from 7200RPM to 4000RPM. So if you’re over 4000 when it happens, it likely cuts fuel.

This is done to preserve the engine from starvation, in my opinion/understanding. It could be very dangerous to be in a high load/high RPM situation and suddenly have no fuel to cool the chamber when the pump can’t pick up the fuel because of high Gs. It could cause detonation and pre-ignition if sustained.

Mine definitely went into a limp like mode at 8 miles remaining. Felt dangerous, luckily I was on a country road.

Yeah, I have MPHAS.

To make matters worse, when I went down to the garage earlier to grab the alignment sheet, I got a low tire pressure warning. The drivers side rear lost 10 PSI overnight.

I dropped it off today, they said it would be back to normal by EOD Monday. No way I'm missing MPACT lol.

Like me know if they mention having to replace the Knuckles to do the alignment. The Engineers at BMW M (in Germany) told my Service Department Manager that to do an alignment on a G87 with the MPHAS the Knuckles have to be replaced.

That sounds crazy. Are they doing that at the port? Did you do it? If you did, what was the cost?

I feel like I'm almost better served bringing this car to a place that aligns racecars and let them dial it in over swapping major suspension components on a brand new car.

Fuck no I didn’t let them do that. They are supposed to do it (alignment) at the port (nowhere does it mention Knuckle replacement in install or post alignment instructions). They weren’t going to charge me, it would of been billed to BMW.

Is the race car place the joint that did it to G42 specs in the first place?
I would bring them Ravenseal ‘s spec sheet from the port and go from there.

Did they mean didn’t have the right equipment or their software wasn’t updated? Should be the same hardware. My Dealer had to get a software update to be able to do my alignment, which they finally did but then came the story about the Knuckles. They also said BMW told them the alignment specs were the same as a non MPHAS car. All this to say, have them give you the full rundown before you let them fiddle with your car again. I would be very weary after that G42 bullshit. Godspeed and see you Saturday.
