No pictures today because she’s a filthy pig and because I’m exhausted. Flew from Boston to Baltimore this morning to pick her up from the port (shipped from Bremerhaven), and then spent 7.5 loving hours driving her back to home in Boston. So glad to have her back!

Probably the most seamless JB4 Ive ever run, smoother and more seem less then the JB4s Ive had in my B58, N55 and S55.
I ran a bunch of Logs through Map 1 and Map 2, all running really well, even the throttle closures are extremely minimal, probably not much different to stock. The only suprise is how well the chassis copes with the extra power, it's putting the ponies to the ground much better then I expected, I thought I'd be breaking traction far more aggressively then the stock tune but not so! And bugger me the car is RAPID! The biggest downside is that damn burning smell coming from my warranty.. my car now smells like slow cooked brisket. |

I don't have a before sound clip but obviously it sounds like a standard M2. Here are some "after" clips plus some with a Valvetronic Midpipe and modified exhaust valves Stock exhaust+ downpipes + modded valves: Valvetronic mid pipe + downpipes:: |

sounds great!
I haven't received my car yet so im not sure and genuinely curious - why would you want to remove the valve? can you just click the button, and it'll sound the same? then close it when desired? |

The valves don't 100% open from the factory in stock form. This mod allows you to open them up 100% which sounds 10x better then the limited stock valve opening. Likely BMW designed and intended then to be 100% open but had to limit the opening from factory to appease the Euro sound regulators aka fun police.. |

Got to drive the G87 M2 at the performance center this week, it feels more like the next gen E92 M3 in terms of feel and proportions when driving. The change in steering feel with the electric rack was noticeable, but not that bad IMO. The m240ix was unpleasant in comparison.
Didn't get to drive the G80/2 M cars, but did get an instructor hot lap in one and they feel like a shrunk M5 but have a more grunt than the M2 as expected. I could see this car replacing my M3. I liked it a lot more in person than I thought I would, especially compared to the G80/82. |

We did timed autocross in the m240iX, skid pad rat race in the m340i, off-road in the X5, lead-follow in the M2, and ride-alongs in the M3. I'm not going to complain since it was free including hotel and food, but I would've liked more time in the M2 overall. If you go for a performance delivery or book a school session, it's more in-depth and the facility is top notch. Well worth a visit if you get a chance. Side note, I didn't like Zandvoort Blue in person as much as I thought I would, everyone from NC was calling it Carolina blue. The one I drove was Brooklyn Grey and it's fantastic in person. |

How are BMW dealers in terms of warranty and mods? I don’t plan on anything crazy, but I do want to do exhaust. My VW experience was great in that regard; they looked the other ways on mods.

Depends on the mods, what the car is in for and (sometimes) who you know. If soing anything that could void a potential pricey repair, you may want to consider an aftermarket warranty like Carbahn's. |
