Thats odd, to say the least. Did you confirm with them that you can bring your own in?

That's really bad.

And why is it 5 degrees there already?
I didn’t make an official appointment since I know the service manager very well and he was able to fit me in with a short notice. So I can’t fault them for not realizing they didn’t have any in stock. Checked with another dealership and they also have it on back order.

They’re fine with me bringing in my own genuine bmw fluid.

And it’s 5 degrees because it’s the Canadian prairies!! I gotta move somewhere warmer

Carbahn only warranties their own products that you get installed through their authorized dealer. So unless the person is getting a tune and a heat exchanger installed from them its useless.

To OP, most dealerships dont care about simple mods, ie exhaust , intakes , suspension (this is generally where I stop). But if you have an issue with either of those things and your car is modded they won't do any warranty work on it since it's no longer a genuine OEM product. If you have only modified your exhaust they are not going to deny you warranty work on your suspension. They really start caring once you start tuning your car and altering the boost levels. Everything gets logged in the ECU.

Cool, thanks. I was just thinking exhaust for now (minus minor modes like the yellow day times).

Just got the car back yesterday after 32 days out of commission with only 421 miles. Installed TRE spoiler from AutoID and license plates with IND color-matched frames today.

I changed out my springs, but I had a tear in the rear axle boot prior to the install. BMW rejected it because I had springs even though I had photos of the tear before install. Dealer said they couldn’t warranty anything that’s suspension related or adjacent because my springs, and that I no longer had any warranty that would cover those parts.

Yes, seems to be OEM quality. I like it better than the M Performance one in how it wraps to the edge of the trunk, but that's just MO. Also considerably less expensive.

I ordered a mesh grill for the front bumper. minor, but seems to be necessary.

anyone that ordered and installed a black M2 badge - what was your process?
I assume painters tape around it for placement purposes, dental floss, goo gone???

If you use a heat gun, it will come off much easier and leave very little residue
