Question for anyone though- should I wait until after break in service to put this on? I am at 350 miles flat and get her back this weekend from PPF/Tint.
Awesome congrats. You'll enjoy. She's pretty rowdy now with engine in sport + and trans in d3

I just had my break in service today after installing last week. Only thing mentioned during the walk through was "no rust on exhaust" so should be no issue but like Mike said if not in a hurry can always wait too.

Agreed on the price, shipping and delivery speed from mike@x-ph.com , hard to beat.

Yeah I’m super stoked on it! I may wait, not because of warranty but just because I’m not sure if it may cause engine issues before break in (I don’t see how it would but better safe than sorry). Part of me just wants to slap it on and be done with it even with the limited miles I have on the car.

The only "issue" would be it may be harder to keep it in the rpm range for the break in service lol.

I didn't install it myself. It does require two holes drilled, but I don't think it took them long.

Any intake sound difference at all with the BMC drop-ins and I am assuming removed carbon filters?

Just a little maybe. Yep, carbon filters are now gone as well!

Thanks. Was just curious if you can hear any difference at all. Minimal sounds about right I suppose.

I like the aftermarket intake sound more than the exhaust tbh, but not sure it's really worth the asking price of those solutions. Also, the stock airbox and tubes look fine to me and the BMC definitely lets it breathe better, but I do wonder if the stock box would sound the same as some other aftermarkets and function the same with just an oiled cone on the stock pipe type of thing. Oh well, I am sure I'll do something down the line.

Agree the price premium for some of the intake solutions is pretty insane. I’m a sucker for carbon fiber and that’s how they get me!
I thought about the exact same thing when I was installing the BMC filters. Seems like a cone filter would snug right up on the stock tube! Might be a little floppy but I bet it would work! Haha

Mine was supposed to get ppf finished along with some installs yesterday. Apparently my contact failed to inform the co-workers so none of it was installed. Disappointed as I had ordered reflector deletes to go on.

I did try but I also was using a pretty weak polish. Would appreciate any polish recommendations.

I’ve been a fan of CarPro Ultracut for deeper abrasions, followed by Sonax Perfect finish and then CarPro Reflect for the high end gloss. Recently been experimenting with some Koch Chemie polishes also that work well.
