Paid $450 to repair a 4 inch long dent left by some ass*ole during Christmas. Luckily, the M2 paint job is great and the minor scratch left behind was easily taken out with polishing.
On the other hand, the ass*ole left quite a bit of paint behind… that is going to need body shop repair. |

R44 uses actual oem liners and modifies them. I would pay the extra for perfect fitment any day over Ali junk. Hell, want to save money, do a DIY, cut out the vents and replace with screening yourself. You know what they say, garbage in, garbage out (not that I am looking to spend extra when not needed but its MY feeling and opinion that Ali and ebay should be avoided. I have personally seen too much junk coming from them. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...). |

Assuming you are only leasing for 3 years, put as much crap junk on there as you want. BUT, if you are a long term owner, I strongly recommend the good stuff. The higher price is worth it not just because of quality, but also vendor support and longevity. |

Fair assessment. I would however be concerned with the longevity of anything from Ali. |

One time my car booted me out of MDM after getting very slightly squirrely in the rain. I've gotten it way more sideways without that happening, not sure what the deal was.

Day 2 of having the car. Trying to pile miles on to get to the break in service quicker. Today was starting to figure out what the shift points are to keep the revs under 5K RPM's. The car is pissed and wants me to floor it and rev it up to redline......or maybe it's me that's pissed about that?

Today I notice a door ding that cracked the paint. I’ve had the car since Thursday and have driven it 4 times.
Hopefully the last door ding, but probably not. |

Tune is by DME Tuning (ecu and trans). Evolution highflow catted downpipes, CSF oil & trans cooler, Carbahn heat exchanger, colder plugs and a BMC drop in filter for now. Already had the Valvetronic valved sport exhaust system (catback). Eventuri will go on later this month or in February and tune will be tweaked to match. |
