Picked up yesterday, Expel ULTIMATE Stealth PPF installed, Expel FUSION Ceramic applied all over, including wheels and brake calipers.

I’m loving the look!

It's the curb on my driveway that I have to consider going in and out of it. The lips design added about 1.5 to 2" towards the ground.

Right on! Brake before the turn and always be aware of the balance of the car. The contact points on the tires are affected by the balance. Braking in the middle of a turn, the front wheels have maximum contact and the rear wheels have minimal contact if the car isn’t balanced. Something to think about on the racetrack, wherever that is.

Is that the alpha n front lip?

Correct. I was noticing this braking in a straight line.

No, just reps. Non adjustable 3 piece. I just want to complete the look of the front and make it look better but I want something that I can easily replace and won’t hurt my pocket. The fitment is really good so happy with that.

Anyone else feel like the steering is a little squirrelly when the chassis is in Sport+ and braking kinda hard? Not sure if it's me not knowing I'm pulling the wheel or the front wheels gripping into the grooves of the road.

Adding this: first time using chassis in Sport+ was also the first time I was hitting the brakes really hard. Maybe nothing to do with the setting.
Steering shouldn’t feel squirly ever in any mode, especially sport+. We’re the tires proper temp? It should stick to the ground like a magnet. If you want more feedback, opt in for the Millway monoball conversion in front. You won’t regret it.

You can change the braking modes. I prefer comfort braking even in Sport+ as it’s a better ease in instead of abrupt stopping.

Anyone notice a slight raised driver side ride height over passenger in front? I’m getting 5-6mm difference. Nothing the eye can point out, but with finger test and tape measured you can.

I posted a thread about it, and what I’ve read online is M cars come like this from factory to balance weight when single driver occupancy.

Has anyone noticed this at all? Concerned me at first but like I said, not noticeable to drive or by the naked eye.

Going to be putting on H&R VTF anyways.

PS I did hit a tiny pothole on way back from dealership, but I doubt that did anything. Was only going maybe 15mph. Nothing huge, but you never know. Drives fine after.

Not something I did but a buddy sent this over. This guy was married to a Kardashian and has like 30 million followers on Instagram. Guessing we're gonna see some more interest in our cars.

Carismo Design carbon wheel and Mad Trace magnetic shifters installed!

Wheel is amazing! Ordered it to retain the heated function on the leather portions. The feedback from the magnetic paddle shifters is much better than stock as well.

Niiiiice! Does the heated steering still work?

Edit: yes it does, I reread your post . How was the install?

I’m very curious about the Millways. Is it just the bushings or the whole control arm? How was the install?

Install was pretty straight forward. Hardest part was actually routing the heating element line. Could have used another inch of slack for an easier time but managed to work it out ok. Took my time to make sure I didn’t break any clips or anything. All said and done it took me a little less than 2 hours to remove the old wheel and transfer all the guts over etc… love the feel of the new wheel!

It was when I was braking hard that I experienced what felt like the car not wanting to go straight. I don't know, maybe I was accidentally pulling on the steering wheel or something. I put on about 70 miles today and did not have a repeat of yesterday.

I just installed the bmw performance HAS and have noticed a similar result. I even put the car back up on the quickjack and pulled the wheels to confirm everything was the same as I installed it. All other corners were in line with each other and within the height guidelines provided in the BMW installation guide.

Interesting, at least it’s a known thing it seems. Can you notice it by visually looking or is it just when measuring?

I was looking closely and I could see it, but I wouldn’t think a person would notice if not specifically looking for a difference. Also I was on fairly level ground but I can’t say for sure that it’s absolute

Pulled the ECU out of the car and dropped it off at DHL. It's time for some ethanol.

Ya I think the ground also will make a slight difference. Once I drop it on H&R VTF, we’ll check back on it. How old is yours also? I just got mine yesterday so it might just need to settle.

This makes complete sense. They've also done some interesting but reasonable things to other M cars. My X3 M for example (that has been lowered on DINAN springs) can only achieve 1.2* of negative camber in the left / passenger side front. But the right / driver's side front can achieve the full 1.5* of negative camber. [this is not adjustable on many cars] It's not ideal but been confirmed with other X3 M owners that this was built into the existing chassis. I guess for the crown in the road maybe. I know this is close to comparing apples to oranges here. But I think there's some similarities in regards to the thoughts behinds these basic measures BMW took to offset & counter balance some things.
