Mine is 2024 auto transmission. Yes center bottle of radiator is missing the black plastic guard. However, I have plastic guards in two sides, and upper radiator

Smart! I still suggest a mesh since those openings are still large enough and would still allow for the damage like I had

After sufficient air flow, rigidity is most important. The plate is not flush to the cooler. The debris will have to be the right size and hit at the right angle with the Mishi skid plate to cause debilitating damage. Can it happen, of course but odds are greater it will be protected.

I have a question. What jack points do you use if you’re putting the car on jack stands that use the same spot where the jack would be?

I used a renstand on one side and just stuck a stack of wood under the other tire. I put another renstand on my letter to Santa, but I am afraid I might be on the naughty list.

A set of Rhino ramps is one of the best $39 you can spend.

Just pulled the trigger on the Mishimoto skid plate, hopefully it gets here soon! I'm going to install it then probably take pictures of the underside every day for a week to check up on if it's protecting the oil cooler from any new damage. Probably overkill but I like to see actual changes rather than blindly believing. Also helps justify that I just spent more money on my car

Does anyone have the part number for the plastic grille protector thingy that comes on the MT cars for the center radiator?

As mentioned Rhino ramps are great if wheels are staying on.

If you need to take wheels off, there are center jack points. Front one is obvious. Rear one is the diff. Buy a jack pad so it’s not metal on metal. And you’ll probably still need to drive on the ramps to get the jack under.

Considering this thread is about installing an oil cooler protective screen, there's no reason to take the wheels off, thus my recommendation. But yes, for other situations where a wheel may need to be removed for an extended period of time, jack stands may be needed.

I wasn’t downplaying your suggestion. I was supporting it. For this use case it’s the best advice. I agree.

I was providing extra insight since it seemed like he was trying to jack up and use jack stands both from the side lift points.

It appears you need an oil cooler protector protector.

Not sure why y'all buying this zunsport mesh, it's a flimsy $20 mesh you can make yourself.

https://www.amazon.com/AggAuto-Unive.../dp/B08PBL6MJ2

The 4x8 mesh is $16 you can cut two pieces from that size, costing you $8 in the end. Save your money for the mishimoto skid plate.

I wouldn’t call it flimsy in the least. It’s extremely rigid.
