Buying used

I am looking at used E90s and a most of them fall under the 100k mileage count (within my budget). Would buying a bimmer with over 100k be a bad idea?

You're correct. I went in my history and clicked a recent e90 link and it was a "make a new thread" page. Did not realize my last thread was OT. Sorry.

Do you just really want a BMW, or are there other reasons?

If the former, I'd honestly get a used Honda or Corolla... (if you need a car ASAP, otherwise, I'd save up for a lower mileage used BMW). I wouldn't feel too comfortable buying a BMW with over 100k miles, though I'm sure it will still run OK for a bit.

Depends on the car, age, and history. Obviously you need to be able to get your hands dirty every once in a while for maintenance.

I bought my 330 with 105k, because I knew the above 3 things entirely. Absolutely no problems after about 16 months and 10k miles.
