Have you seen the new Audi TT?

I was checking out the Audi site today because a friend mentioned he wanted to buy a TT. I didn't know for sure what one looked like these days, so I went to the Audi USA site to build a TT and see what they look like inside and out. For the most part, they look like they always have.

What's new is that Audi seem to have come up with some new way to steer the car, because the TT doesn't come with a steering wheel, if one is to believe the configurator. Have any of you heard of this new breakthrough?

All the best.

Yes, Audi created a new steering system for the TT called TeleSteer three years ago. There is no steering wheel. Nothing new.

That model doesn't have the Technology Package which you need for TeleSteer. It telepathically predicts which direction and to what degree you want to steer via brain waves. Works for the turn signals and to open the back hatch, too.

Same technology as the Apache Attack Helicopter. The car goes wherever the driver looks. Illegal to sell it in Vegas or Amsterdam, however.

Browser issues?
Here's what I see when I use their config tool. I will admit too that the first time I went there, I thought there was something wrong with my browser. There's not.

I also just noticed that the trim choices are staggering: brushed aluminum or, mattte brushed aluminum. I ask you: is brushed aluminum that shiny to begin with that a matte variation is going to be all that different?

Clearly there are a couple of steering wheel options that your browser is simply not loading up for you.

Or do you think the wind shield with the white silhouette in the shape of a steering wheel is an option too?

Is this real life?

I tried the configurator and my screen just blinked over and over..

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition.

Maybe Audi should know?

That was my thought when I found the gif. I honestly have no idea and it's probably better that way.
