Charger Hellcat 0-60 2.9 1/4 @ 10.7

Now that the Z06 figures were released so to were the Charger Hellcat's numbers. Sounds like the Hellcat was on street legal drag radials but regardless, these are some impressive numbers for a pig.

Curious what it gets when it isn't launching on a set of velcro pads.

Cool. Release figures on drag radials for headlines and click-bait.

C6 Z06s have been running 10.70-10.95 @ 128-130 MPH bone stock with the exception of tires for the past 8 years. The ZR1 does 10.2-10.3 @ 133-135 MPH bone stock with the exception of tires for the past 4 years.

That trap speed indicates it's all launch and nothing else. Cool 120 MPH trap for a 700+ HP car.

A "cool", "classic Dodge" PRICE too. Half that of a ZR1, with four doors, a big backseat and trunk.

Also says it's 126 MPH on most runs.

Big back seat isn't practical with that fuel economy. I'd take the vette if I had to choose, and pay the difference happily for a purpose built car.

A 707hp Sedan that will get 20+ highway mpg, run a 10 sec quarter stock with a sub 3 second 0-60, for less than 70k and still haters gonna hate.

Not sure there is any pleasing those types.

Why not? It's predicted to get better than the outgoing M3 isn't it and people were happy loading the kiddies in that.

Is it? I thought I saw a 7 city mpg figure somewhere. If not, then yeah, no problems at all with it.

Edit: saw EPA 20-22 hwy, hm. Didn't see mention of city rating though.

22 MPG Highway (for the Challenger Hellcat) vs. 20 MPG Highway for the E92 M3. Same 16 MPG combined rating.

Wow thats fast. 22mpg highway and 16mpg combined on a +707hp car with giving you all its power at low rpms, sure, somehow i see those numbers changing once the car is ready for pre order.

2.9 is fast no matter how you cut it, but quoting these numbers on a prepped surface using drag radials? The hell is the point of that besides marketing? Unless the Hellcat comes out of the factory with radials, I can't find validity in numbers that cant be replicated on the street, where it will be driven 99% of the time.

I think you make a valid point, and click bait for sure, but I still want to know what a car is capable of. Didn't several of the previous posts point out what 'vettes are running on DS?

Those numbers are not "stock," unless your idea of stock consists of rolling off of the showroom floor with a set of under-inflated radials. That's the only hating going on if you want to call it that.
