Why do people use the term Cali for California? I was born and raised in California and I've never heard anyone who live here call it by that name.

You live in Florida. Have you ever heard it called Flori? Like, what should I do when I come to So. Flori?

I'm sure I'll get used to it in 10 or 20 years. In the meantime I'll just cringe when I hear/see Cali unless they are talking about the city in Columbia.

Anyway, I hope you are having a great time there. Let us know how you liked it.
