They probably are getting a little scarce but definitely not "rare." The 6MT was not very popular. I had the exact same car and there were only a few hundred black on black 6MT cars in the country with the full aero pkg. This was the last year for the Brembo brakes as well. I will say this is in VERY good condition, with the exception of the driver's seat corner.

It's so rare he should hold on to it and show it at the Concours d'Elegance. It could soon be worth millions.

even if it happens to be rare, that doesn't mean its worth much more than 5-6k, there are plenty of rare things in this world that aren't worth anything, demand on the other hand can always drive up the price, however this particular model doesn't have anything special that would increase demand

I thought about emailing the guy as well to see if he'd ship to Canada!
Poor misguided individual. Although it is clean, I think he misunderstood "modified" for "rare" and that being modified meant he'd get more money back. Someone should let him/her know that this is generally not the case. I was particularly interested in the "Integrated garage door opener in driver door panel" which must be that giant glaring red ejector seat button by the window switches. Yea, that looks premium. I'll admit it's one of the most thorough Craigslist posts with really well done photographs - bravo for that. Custom sport package eh... this guy sadly sunk >$12k into this car (or more) and it's almost entirely aesthetic.
A catback exhaust and he is quoting a ~25HP bump. |
