That's an unfortunate story. Something similar happened on Long Island a while back where a cop gave a fire chief a ticket for failing to obey a lawful order to open up some lanes of traffic. That one was a big deal because NY state law gives fire chiefs broad authority over emergency operations, and under a reasonable reading of the state laws, a police officer does not have the authority to issue orders to a fire chief.
Most of the time, fire and police get along without any problems. It's unfortunate when egos get in the way.

Not me. Many of them are just adrenaline junkies that could not make it into police academy but still wanted a uniform and a flashy light on their POS Ford Bronco. The rest are closet arsonists and pyromaniacs. They can abuse their authority just as much.

I saw this last night. If I was that fire captain I'd have shoved the fire hose up his ass and turned it on.
What a moron. And all because he wanted him to move the truck to free up the lane which the fireman had left there purposely to protect his crew.

Nope, too busy at a military college; the uniforms were snazzier.
