Everyone has an opinion, rightfully so. Here’s mine - the 893M’s are the best looking option, and only available with the G42 (currently) - the other wheels have been around and can be spec’d on other models. The Tires are better and will improve the ride, and the added width may provide a better steering experience. The braking system is improved and most reviews expressed the standard brakes are too soft - track or no track anyone pushing this car will appreciate that. Finally, the coolant system is a bonus you may or may not need/notice.

The obvious con is its an extra 2400 on US builds, and if you want to keep the price down or if you dislike the 893’s you shouldn't add it. Imho, its worth the cost and I love the wheels so its a no brainer.

For autocross the larger wheels allow you more tire size options and larger contact patch so definitely a plus specially if you want to stay in the Street category. I don't think the other items will mater for autocross.

I’m sure the 993 Turbo owner starts shuddering and red faced rolls away in shame

I got the US ZTK package. I wanted 245s up front for looks and handling, I liked the 893 wheels, I was ok with the spats on the wheel arches and the increased cooling is a bonus.

I mean , it was really the only true performance upgrade option available. Everything else is cosmetic and convenience.

When I got the car 1/29/22 the wheels came off immediately for a set of 225 square 18" Sottozero 3 snows.

Actually I was a little underwhelmed by the look of the Michelin ps4s it came with. Hopefully The performance will change my mind over appearance. Otherwise I will get a set of 13mm spacers all around. I'm really jonesing for a beefy 18" 255 square setup on some of the new Apex rims when they come out!

Most of the press pics I see of the car on the road shows the radiator vents closed, so I'm curious how much additional cooling the car really needs? However, the extra cooling can't hurt when traveling between Fort Worth, TX and Tucson, AZ in the summers with the cruise set on 95.

I'm in the same boat of thinking the 893's are the best looking OEM wheel, and I really didn't want to go aftermarket.

After looking at countless pics of car with the ZTK I feel like the fenders on the non-ZTK cars look like they were never loved.

The 8.5/9.5" wheels also allow for a meaty option of 245/40 and 275/35 while keeping a -0.4% rolling diameter variance, which is the same variance as the non-ZTK cars.

I didn't get the tire cooling package, although I would have loved to have it. If I could have purchased the cooling without the wheels I would have definitely done so. However, seeing the lightning lap commentary it doesn't seem that cooling is an issue. I really don't like the wheels included in the package, it seems like they tried to cater for both the shadowline and non-shadowline package cars and the resulting wheel doesn't do either justice. My plan is to add the cooling bits later if needed. Aftermarket wheels are a must in any case.

If I recall it was 4 laps over 2 days.

You were able to fit 18" winter wheels with the upgraded front brakes? I was under the impression if you had upgraded larger disc and calipers that an 18" wheel wouldn't fit and I would need a 19" winter wheel setup. Or does the US package not come with larger front brakes are part of that package?

I basically specced the wheels on the TireRack
Website inputting it as a 2022 G20 M340xi on which it is based, and crossed my fingers!

It is always a gamble with new models for modifications, accessories, etc.

I tried doing research and there were a couple of threads which suggested that the G20 platform had similar enough specs to place an order. I think I tried to keep the wheel offset fairly close, but did not sweat a couple of millimeters.

As for size and spec of non US models and packages, your on your own! I'm not one to get into that level of BMW trivia.
