How do you code them open? Nothing in BimmerCode that I can find.

Unhelpful comment is unhelpful

You can’t say that without saying how.

Seeing how searching through g20 forums and no one has figured out yet I am not holding my breath, but please prove me wrong.

It's in expert settings. I'll have to ask my friend where it's located specifically as he did it, not me. I can confirm that they do stay open though as I've seen it.

yes but that is "cheating." I don't always want to be in sport mode.

He said his grilles always stay open in sport + mode without coding, but I have yet to verify this. Anyone else find this to be accurate?

Not with the car off. They will stay open for a bit until the engine cools though. Which is a good thing so bugs etc don't get in there.

Guess i don't get the point, don't they open for engine cooling when needed for driving? Isn't it a functional thing to have em closed when starting out to allow car to warm up faster then open as needed to keep engine temp at desired point? Dunno why anyone would want to mess with it just for "appearances" when ya can't even see if they are open or not. Guess that's just me. Seems that BMW has designed the engine cooling system to function most efficiently with the auto open close? Me i want my car to get to operating temp as soon as possible. Which is also why the one exhaust is closed upon startup.

Exactly. The car does warm up quick because they stay closed upon startup. It's all about fuel, etc efficiency.
