I think I know the answer to this but is there any way to get Google Maps directions to show up in the HUD if you are using CarPlay? I believe you can only get Apple Maps to show directions in the HUD but I wanted to see if anyone figured it out for Google Maps or if it's just the Apple integration keeping that from happening. Thanks!

directions show up in the HUD with Android Auto.. so it's probably an Apple thing. although, I noticed the directions are not as detailed as the OEM nav. it's just arrows meanwhile the OEM nav shows what lane, exit signs, etc... so I just use that instead

It showed up for me today in AA. I could change the right screen back to my audio screen and the maps stayed in the center display until the destination. I like the display much better than the Android Auto map on the multi display screen which was not zooming in.

Same here, Google maps directions will show in the HUD, but not as good as OEM nav.
