No, I used a glue stick.
1. Clean stock start button with rubbing alcohol 2. Melt one end of glue stick with lighter 3. Place melted end onto start button and let it sit for 1-2 minutes until it's completely cooled 4. Yank the glue stick straight up |

So the package from Amazon arrived today. The included sticky clay worked great and it didn't even need heat. It's 70 degrees in SoCal today btw.
I lightly cleaned the surface of the OEM button with cotton ball/alcohol. Then applied the clay/putty making sure to cover the whole surface of the OEM button. I pulled straight up WITH AUTHORITY and it was out. Two minutes tops! |
