The results look amazing but this was a TON of work. My wife is a skilled seamstress and it took her a total of four hours spread out over two days to sew this properly. In addition to that, tucking in all the excess material under the seams to make everything look neat took me probably two hours. If you don’t have someone that is skilled at sewing don’t bother getting this you’re not going to be able to install it. With that all being said it looks and feels fantastic and I’m thrilled with the results.

It sews on that is why I said you need someone skilled in sewing. No need to remove trim. You have to tuck the fabric under the trim using a trim tool. check out the Ali link.

I mean, I can see how thick the leather is. To say it is very thin and doesn’t add any discernible thickness simply cannot be true.

Agreed, the stock leather steering wheel by itself is already at the upper end of being too thick. Adding a layer of alcantara which usually averages 0.8mm in thickness, would for sure be both visually and tactically noticeable. Perhaps not to the OP but to others, yes.

Trust you? So you know what I feel and think better than me? That’s hysterical. I mean think about what you are saying for a minute. Perhaps different people perceive things differently? I mean there is a reason the car comes with different options and different colors. I posted this to show others who might be Intersted about it not to convince people that don’t like it that it is or isnt anything.
