Hey has anyone in UK 🇬🇧 managed to get a demo ride as yet ? Please feedback your thoughts or are all dealers being strict and not allowing until launch day.

Given the strict embargo imposed by BMW GB I can't imagine anyone has seen a production car in the UK let alone driven one.

Yeah I don’t think there’s anything available at any UK dealer until the official launch date, which is 17th June I believe. My dealer said they’ll call me to arrange a test drive once the official launch happens.

I have an order in for an M2, approx delivery in October. Will dealers let us demo an M2 on launch, or will they wait till the car has had the run in service before they are willing to let customers drive it? I’ve always bought nearly new before and have the driven the car I was looking to buy so have no experience of this type of sale

There is one in glasgow sitting in the compound, managed to get a look at it at the weekend. Genius didn’t know if it was for a customer or not.

It also looks like they are coming from the factory with the front number plate plinth already screwed to the front bumper and not at the PDI as previously done in the past.

You will be able to get a demo ride from dealers that have a demo car

There’s a red one in Carlisle showroom. No demos until the 17th though.
