BMW M2 G87 - My Allocation + Spec
Hi all,
I got my allocation for the new M2 from Ottos BMW in Ottawa, CA. I made a video sharing my spec and some of my thinking around it. I am super pumped for this car and can't wait to see it in person soon. Hope you like the video and I would love to hear your thoughts on the spec. |

Doubtful. You might be 1st at that dealer but allocations have not been given to Canadian dealers yet.

You guys are right. I have submitted my build through the dealership. Getting the first allocation in the city at that dealership when allocations start getting assigned, makes me happy. 😃 Given that I waited over 2 years for a 992 GT3 and didn’t get the car since they sold out.
With the experience with Porsche, if I could get a build slot to submit my spec, it’s a huge plus. Then it’s up to Porsche to approve that Build and get you a status, VIN etc. This is my first time getting a BMW brand new, so forgive me if I am using incorrect terminology or process. I was attempting to summarize the conversation I have had with the dealership. With the M2 even if it gets delayed a few months I know I will have one. Not 2 years after 😂😂 Last edited by theDevThing; 02-08-2023 at 07:32 AM.. |

Could be two years for the BMW, who knows? As for your Porsche, something doesn't sound right either. Yes, allocations are beyond tight and backed up but as long as you didn't have any time constraints, and willing to pay for the premium over msrp, you should be able to get one (may be 2025 for build but...). He beat you to it.
Is there a reason you stalk him? He is extremely excited and yes he was going hard at it. I think he has learned his lesson. He has simmered down. You can let him be now.

Shouldn't be a problem, this was my daily driven Z4M on a ploughed car park, but you can see from the snow packed into the wheels that it was driven in snow close to it's ground clearance, it also was taken to ski resorts quite often. G87 M2 should be just as capable in the snow.:
