Moving this here to it's own thread to make it easier to find. Updates can still be made in the Photos / Videos / Builds / Journals❯ G87 Order Status & Timeline w/ Spec thread. I am not adding any more new allocations but will track these to the end.

Sclouzon replaces Mike_M3 as my last entry. Looks like his Carbon Package order was rescheduled 3 times.

I called BMW genius today to get an update since mine has been stuck on Final Assembly since 6/21/23. They told me the car has been released to sales, Whatever that meant. It is waiting for a transport ship in Mexico. Why doesn't the Bmw website update that?

Released to Sales is status 160, same as Ready to Transport. The website will not update again until it has departed port. As has been said many times before, you CA can get better and more up-to-date info than the Genius.

Except website states my car is "in transit" yet when my CA pulls a VIR, it shows at the port and not on a ship nor in transit.

Yes, the tracker has been lagging behind actual status for months. That is why its always best to check with your CA (over the tracker of Genius line) for most accurate and up-to-date information.

I see. That makes sense. The website shows mine as Final Assembly since 07/06 but my CA just sent me his screen showing 160 as the status since 07/06. I guess I have an update to my build.

I really hope they start moving these cars soon...

There are a number hoping for the same. The cars are stockpiling down there with no explanation.

I like to think, or hope, that the process is moving along for most but updates on mygarage lack significantly behind real time. I'm still under order received but after calling BMW NA they have me at week 37
