I did some draggy runs last night with the Racechip installed. The car also has AA dps, equal mid pipe, and rear section, Eventuri intakes, and 827Ms if that matters. I filmed it and I'll have a video for YouTube shortly.

I don't have baseline numbers to compare to, so if anyone knows please share. It was 80+ degrees and the air was like soup.

I did three 60-130 runs in total. In order the times were 8.56, 8.83, and 8.87. It felt really fast.

Thanks for this. You could've put it in map 0 and did a run to get an idea of what stock would do.

So just looking around, G80's do about 9.8 sec 60-130 stock, G80's with similar bolt ons but running JB4 and pump gas seem to be running a little quicker than this, seen one guy running in the 7's, which is flying. Curious to see what you could do in better temps and less humidity, the weather here has been miserable this week. Eager to see your Youtube video.

Oh I missed this in any of your previous posts but I’m also looking into getting that CSL strut brace as my next mod!! I’d love to know what you think of it and if it did make any difference in handling.

I haven't noticed any difference in handling. It's really impossible to get near the limit with this car on public roads, it's just too fast. I feel like an old man saying that, but I was ripping some back roads the other day and it's just the truth.

I haven't encountered a situation yet in which I've felt any flex in the front end. I'd need to be on a track and driving back to back with both braces to feel a difference if there is any.

I just got it because it looks cool if I'm totally honest. Plus I have the CSL wheels, so why not?

Is the CSL bracing meaningfully lighter than the steel OEM ones?

And where can one buy one?

My bone stock 60-130 mph runs have been in the low to mid 10 second range with the quickest run being 10.09 seconds.

Thanks for sharing. That's pretty interesting data.

Here is the screenshot for my 8.83 run. The data from the 8.56 run isn't displaying in my history for some strange reason. Definitely an interesting comparison.

Hopefully I can get a nice cool night soon and do some more runs. I can't emphasize enough how poor the air quality was the night I did these runs.

Your DA is actually lower than YS1’s was. I don’t think the humidity is factored in though. You would definitely be quicker in cooler air. Try again in the fall.

Safe in terms of engine performance, but how about safety when it comes to traction in 1st and 2nd gears? It's definitely got a lot of output for a RWD vehicle.

Well, that safety is on your feet.
We all wants to have high hp cars, but if you don’t want to learn how to control it, then you have a wrong mentality TBH.

I am slightly conservative so had reached out to Ron E92 for his .02 cents. RaceChip did not list G87 on their site so was a little skeptical about running the box designed for a standard G80 chassis (yes they are the same engine but there has to be software difference given one makes more power than the other).

Anyways, I called up two vendors to learn more about the product and application. Aparently RGSport is the only vendor who has the kit for the G87 (Ron also confirmed his kit came with the G87 M2 sticker on the box).

I decided to give it a go. The kit arrived in time and nicely packaged. The install was not as simple as I thought. The clip A (on the harness) takes a while and you'd need a vice or something to pry it off. Anyways, after many hours of frustration I decided to re-install everything and ship the product back.

But on Saturday, a close friend (Audi tech) decided to help me and convince me to give it a shot. He was able to get the A plug off in a few mins and the entire kit was a go within an hour (professionally routed, mounted on the cover of the brake fluid reservoir so fully stealth).

Traction off full throttle in 3rd, the rear end will light up. I kept the traction on and the car has come to 'life' for a lack of a better term. Its a bloody hurricane.

Extremely pleased! I am running setting 7 and 3rd gear (mine is a manual) is all you'll need for a bit of sporty driving. Tried 6 at 2500 rpm and gunned it and speeds pick up quickly (up to 100MPH without effort).

Essentially the car is FAST!

Big smile for a vehicle which is already a lot of FUN.
