Hi,

I wanted to show how the g42 looks on the 898m wheels. I just bought them last week to complement some of the other M Performance accessories on my car (carbon fiber kidney grille, carbon fiber spoiler, m performance exhaust). For me looks better with the classic bmw emblem than it does with the Heritages ones.

Do you happen to know the weight? I had been trying to find it online but was never successful in finding it.

Hi, you should go for them, look great!

Before I bought them, I also tried to find the weight and i found that these wheels weigh around 23 lbs (10.6kg). I wanted to weigh them before getting installed but when i got to pick up the car to the dealer, the wheels were already installed. From what I have read, the 898m are waay lighter than the 792m. (next week i will measure the exact 792s weight)

Thanks. I’ll probably chat with my local dealership and see what price they quote me. They have always given me great deals in the past as the service director is a friend and has been there for a long time.

If you could let me know the weight of the 792s once you weigh them that would be awesome. I’m curious about the exact weight of those as well. From what I have seen it always seemed to be speculation on those models but not anyone actually weighing them.

Edit: if you don’t mind sharing, what did you pay for them?

As soon as I get the 792s from the dealer, I will let you know the exact weight. (i had to repair a couple of them because i curbed them).

I paid for 898s with the set of tyres around 3500usd but you must consider I live in a country where the VAT is higher than in the US (around 19%). Im planning to sell those new tyres (Pirellis P Zero) because earlier this year I have upgraded to PS4S.

Yes, I do. Tried aftermarket 18" wheels and they wouldn't clear the brakes...
