Hey guys I have a black sapphire g42 2024 m240i Xdrive, it does have the chrome delete everywhere. I have run flats on rn. And I was just going to run those till I need to change them out. But in the meantime. What suggestions do you guys have for wheels. HRE? APEX? BBS? And I’m either between Black or bronze. Really hard choice just not sure. It’s 50/50 on either color. The black will murder out the whole car but bronze will make it look different and unique and stand out a little bit more.

I have a love affair with bronze wheels, the problem I keep buying colors they dont really work on so my vote for your black car would be bronze. Cant really go wrong with apex hre or bbs, obviously the hre form flows are probably the cheapest but still pretty light. My debate has been 19s or go with 20s. The hre ff28s imo look good on any bmw, just have to buy 20s to get 20x9.

There was a period when everyone (myself included) had black wheels. Just bored of them, but yes - they show every mark, every scratch and only look good for the 5 minutes after you've cleaned them.

A matte black helps a lot with this vs gloss black.

I'm new to European cars and I've found it impossible to find wheels that will fit the G42 online. Do you guys have any recommendations of online dealers that deal with all the big wheel brands for our cars?

You can contact kevin @ eas he’s on here and set me up with two sets of wheel/tires so far. One for my F30 a few years ago and recently one for my G42. (They will arrive tomorrow) Pretty sure they can do all the wheel brands and will make sure get what you need with no issues.

Personally on a black car, I like gunmetal wheels.

https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/

Includes all BMW genuine options.
Ships to USA.
They will also supply pretty much any tyres - I asked for start marked winters.

That’s the look! I had gunmetal VMRs on my last car (BSM F30). I wish they fit on the g42, I would have kept them.

Fitment industries atleast let's you input the vehicle and see results alot of places just list nothing for the g42 a d require you to call or message them. Also check out apex wheels they have a fitment guide for our car, you can use that info to search manually elsewhere. I'm a fan of spokey wheels on euro cars vorsteiner and hre form flow have a couple that look good but I might have to get 20s.

So I've found some cool bronze Apex and BBS wheels I love but I'm lost when it comes to these offsets. I want to use my original performance RFTs that came with the car. I've been running aftermarket all seasons since I've owned it.

Fronts are 19x8 - 225/40 (27 offset?)
Rears are 19x8.5 - 255/35 (40 offset?)

The listed offsets are what I got off of a fitment website and it gives me ranges allowed 25-29 for the front and 38-42 for the rears. The wheels I've found only come in 19x8.5 (will this matter on fronts?) The offsets they offer are 30 and 38 for those wheels which I can't see 1mm killing anything in the front and 225 is roughly 8.8 inches so the tire is still bigger than the wheel.

I have a set of Apex VS-5RS Bronze in 19x9 with Conti DSW06 tires and TPMS that I am looking to get rid of. They were on the car less than 2 months. I have gotten rid of the car so I have no need for the wheels. If interested send me a PM.

Something tells me if they did he wouldnt tell you anyway that would hurt the sale. Apex posted a response finally with what they consider fixes for it so its probably a non issue if you follow those.
