ground clearance at stock HAS height

Hi All,

I was hoping someone with the MP HAS kit at port installed height can tell me what the ground clearance from the ground to the bottom of the front bumper and also the ground to the bottom of the side sills.

I am thinking about getting some simple racing ramps in the hopes of installing a front splitter and side skirts myself (with the help of a friend) and want to see if I will be able to my drill underneath the car to screw the hardware in to secure the parts.

Thank You!

Sure I got you. Front bumper height ranges from 5.75 to 6.5 inches clearance depending on the spot. Side rockers low point is 5 inches clearance. If you need any additional data points let me know.

Thank you for this! The race ramps I am thinking about getting gives another 2.5" to 3.0" of clearance. I would think that should be enough to get my drill under there to drill the holes and screw in any hardware. I would be using a right angled drill (4.5" deep and an impact driver 4" deep).

All it would entail is drilling holes and putting in the screws...watch me screw it up.

Tape up the area aroumd so if you slip ever so slightly you won’t scratch the paint

I have MP HAS and just installed a splitter this weekend. My ramps add about 3 inches, so not tall. I didn’t find it was enough room to really see what I was doing under the car. So I jacked it up and put it on jack stands. Much better.

I use Rhino ramp with my cars and there's plenty of room to get under the front & sides.

I know Rhino Ramps are really tall (like 6 to 8 inches). Are you able to drive the fron end of the car yp on those ramps with the car’s over hang?

I don’t own a jack or jack stands. Was hoping the ramps would be enough ugh….maybe it would be best to have a pro install them lol.

I haven't used them with my M2 yet, but use them a lot with my Z06. I can't drive the Z up them because it's 3.5" off the ground and has a front splitter. I jack it up and slide the ramps underneath. Did the same with my 330e, just habit & eliminates any possibility of overshooting the end of the ramp. I have 2 low-profile 3-ton jacks from Harbor Freight that have worked great for 8 years. I believe I picked them up on sale for $79 ea.
