Trim weather proof

Just noticed this-

I got my car PPF’d including my roof a couple months back. I noticed the trim where they take it off to do my roof is wonky.

Drivers side pinches weather strip, passenger side does not. Which one is correct? Is there any possible water damage to come from this?

Also- rear is uneven due to this also.

Pics below.

Just pull that pinched rubber flap back above the trim.

Is that the correct placement? Or is it supposed to be pinched for some reason?
