Performance Center Delivery - Only for Spartanburg Made Cars?

Does anyone have any "recent" experience with trying to setup the Performance Center Delivery option? I have my car in production now and talking with my rep at the local dealer, he said it is only for Spartanburg, SC produced vehicles. This would EXCLUDE the M2 then.

Just curious if anyone has first hand experience getting this "perk" included with their new M2 (or any vehicle produced OUTSIDE of the Spartanburg, SC plant).

Their website still reads like it is ANY new vehicle:

Garage List
This was the case for the end of last year, but they opened it up again to all cars. No free hotel or dinner anymore though.

My sales guy keeps trying to dissuade me from the performance center delivery because he says it could add 1-2 months wait but at the moment Ive opted for it.

I’m assuming this is for an M2? What is your current delivery estimate or status in production?

A 25 m2 yeah, I haven't been given any updates since I had the guy put in for the individual paint.

Depends on availability of performance center and how busy at the time when you pick up the car. For me it only added 2 weeks extra vs dealership pickup.

BokTroy when did you do the pickup at PDC? Assuming a recent G87 M2?

As others have said, it’s available for all models currently, assuming the reservation form is submitted by your dealer in time.

I’ll also mention that purchasing a new BMW comes with a complimentary visit to the Performance Center even if you don’t take the Performance Center Delivery.

If you take delivery at the dealership, you can call the Performance Center and schedule the “New Owner’s Track Drive” free of charge (including 1 guest) within one year of your delivery date.

Awesome info to know, thank you! I will chat with my CA to confirm this and worst case (if it's too late to setup the delivery) at least get the track drive setup.

Sorry for the late reply somehow I missed the ping. Yes, it’s recent G87 pickup around start of May. They only extended 2 weeks of time and you need to finish the document at least 1 week prior to your pick up date. They provided 2 dates for me, that you can choose your preferred one. When I picked up the M2, there are only 3 people picking up that day, so I got tons of seat time going around track etc.
Let me know if you need any more info from me, to help schedule yours.

That looks awesome and sounds like you had a great experience! Talked with the Sales Manager today at my local dealer and he knew how to apply for the PDC pickup so application went in today. Hopefully it will get "approved" (accepted?). Thank you for confirming it is possible now; having this knowledge helped me to have the conversation with my rep to try and make this happen.

No prob happy to help, the experience is totally worth the extra bit of wait. And yes, your CA should submit that “application” and they (performance center) will reply the acknowledgment of your request and state they won’t provide you with the date until your car is finished PDI at port (plus any port installed option). Second email will come by once your car is at that status and you can choose your preferred date.
