Question Pulling Fuze to keep exhaust valve open

Hey guys! I'm new here so after reading around and seeing a post about this, I just wanted to see if any of you guys had gone to sport mode and then pulled the fuse to keep the exhaust valve open.

I'm going to try to read the fuse diagram tomorrow and see if I can figure out the correct one to pull, I have a 2024 m 240i RWD.

Any disadvantages to this besides having more noise all the time?

Lots of threads on the topic

Fuse 203. Only changes sound and annoys your neighbours-no performance benefits.
It will log error codes but only to indicate the fuse is missing.

HAHA not loud enough to annoy neighbours unless aftermarket exhaust .....pulled my fuse last year ,I have a PCW exhaust mod sounds better than stock but not in the annoy neighbour territory me thinks...

Honestly I just want the sound that 2021 m340i and 2 series had with the pops on deceleration. It's barely there in this 2024 m240i and that's just an audible experience I want... without doing something that voides my warranty to

Do you have iconic sound turned on? It does affect exhaust pops.

What does "Iconic sounds" actually do? I thought that it was an inside cabin sound from the speakers and thats it?

People found it affects the actual exhaust sound and exhaust pops. It’s not just affecting the fake internal sound.

Is iconic sounds different than ASD? If yes, how do you enable iconic?

I find it unlikely that this setting has anything to do with burbles that the car actually produces, but it would be cool if i am wrong.

There are older threads where people confirmed that iconic sounds affected the actual exhaust sound.

It is an idrive8 only setting.
