Don’t get your hopes up. At this point, I’d settle for it all just being integrated in a more natural way.

Good call, thank you. I had no idea. Never seen one. Did they make only a handful of these?

It looks like an incredibly non offensive mid size SUV. Frankly, if you’re not a car person, it looks a lot like an X5. Or Audi Q5. Or VW Atlas. You get the point. SUV’s are either rounded or boxy. From there, it’s details.

Fast Lane Auto Sales, San Antonio source. C6 house. Low mile examples are numerous and they do a brisk business. It is a very large military town with a well rounded seasoned population……..Vettes, BMW & Porsche etc popular with military pilots….. The cheap opaque silver plastic trim on my dash blinds me when sun hits it just right. The Germans TUV in the past NEVER allowed reflective surface(s) (matte finish only) due to safety concerns. The interior is on par with GM now with high gloss plastics strung out all over the interior/exterior. My E46 330Ci (interior quality) ZHP had aluminum black machined turned dash trim. E46 ZHP trim was available black or silver. How much can it cost. I will probably paint the silver trim matte black or Porsche style body color which BMW does not offer. My .02. The motor is a work of art internally though…..probably the best out there. I was SOLD!

The car is stunning!!! Large flared guards, super wide stance, sharp modern lines, and the proportions are just perfect!!!! Even makes the M3 and M4 look tame and stock! |

And the looks matches that German muscle car drive experience… even the thick steering wheel adds to the muscle car feel … it’s a fantastic car 👍🏼

Z4, M8, X5M are super. After that, it drops off so badly now. M2 is only good in black, but I’d own one if I needed another car. Sort of keeping an eye out for a purple one as well to see how it looks.

M240i is decent but otherwise wow has every release and refresh been a downgrade. I suppose even the M240i is a downgrade from the previous... |

I lokked at F87 M2c and new m2 side by side and they look like they were designed by two diff companies. One that designs perf cars and the other one that designs legos or kid toy cars. The headlights on new m2 are horrid … kinda looks like a pug.

Back then, BMWs all looked the same, just a different length. BMW wanted to get away from that - enter the Z3/4, the SAVs, and yes the flame surfacing. The 5/6/7 of that era haven’t aged well IMO. I’d be willing to put an E60 M5 in my garage despite the looks. Can’t say the same for the current lineup. But…I do realize that times change and things will go in and out of favor with some. I really just hope BMW goes back to a simpler look.

So, tell me my friend how a car can be offensive? For me all Volvo models look characterless. For persons who don’t have any demands in life. For traveling from A to B. I see a car as something personal and cars look must be assertive and demanding.

Most people I observe to be “car people” either have at least one sedan/coupe or they only have an SUV because of lifestyle and/or budget requirements. I’m not trying to tell you what to like. Far from it. This is all subjective. Do you find the current and previous X5 models to be assertive and demanding?

Volvos look minimalist and classic next to this offensive, art deco garbage from BMW. At least they’re minimalistic with clean lines. The M2, M5, X3, 7, XM, iX look ridiculous. They’ve lost all semblance of cohesiveness to the legacy. It’s sad.

I never felt like BMW needed to make some loud design impression. It was about having a classic, upscale design and the fact that it’s a BMW would tell you all you need to know about how it will drive, vs the competition.
