Allocation Status - US

Hi,

I have been getting mixed messages about allocations. Any allocations been handed to any US dealers recently?

Got one last week, there are out there, and seems some customers are awaiting delivery. Again it all depends on your relationship with the dealer and SA.

Well I thought my relationship was solid, but they are claiming no allocation for them.
My i4 M50 came from them and I havey other cars serviced with them.

They say an M4 allocation is easy, but they aren't getting M2 allocations.

The money difference isn't a big deal, but I wanted an M2. If I don't have an M2 allocation soon, I'll get a M4 in Techno Violet like my E36 M3 was and pick some carbon buckets in a color other than black.

The M4 gives me more choices for the extra money, but not much else.

I really don't need or want carbon ceramics but it does look interesting once I'm going for the M4. Individual paint is $4500 but the carbon roof is standard or I can get a sun roof with individual. Lots of choices.

Had it all figured with an M2. Sucks that I have cash and can't spend it

Finding an allocation shouldn’t be difficult. I got one of the very first MY25 allocations (prior to me choosing individual paint I had week 32 build) and it took me about an hour of calling the dealerships around my zip code. Think I got an allocation by the 5-6th dealership I called. And dealers I called first offered me one too but for a mark up. I kept calling down the list and found a dealer who traded 2 2024 allocations for another dealer’s 25 slot. You can do the same. If you can’t easily find a dealer with an allocation, ask them if they can trade one with another dealership. They do it all the time. It should be a lot easier to find an allocation now than during the 2025 launch.

I'm going to let my SA.and the business manager know that I'm fed up and will start looking at other dealers.

I bought my i4 M50 from them so they know when I say ai want to buy a car, they have a sale.

So I'll start looking for an allocation.

Thanks for the feedback.
