OP, what city do you live in? How old are you? How many serious relationships (said "I love you" or close to it) have you been in?

Lastly - my wife exceeded my goals outwardly, inwardly I really respected her - but she wasn't as easy going as I was used to and that put me off a little. But, as a man of faith I truly felt she was the one, as her spiritual beliefs were like mine and her appreciation and admiration for my family and our belief system was high. 16 yrs later and life is beautiful!

So she reads these forums on the regular is what you are saying...

Drumroll please... this episode comes to an end!

I won't beat around the bush: so, she confessed to me that she has a lover. She was quite adamant about calling him that, and while she made it quite clear that she is sleeping with him, she also purposely did not refer to him as "partner", boyfriend or similar.

And so, the previous episode comes to an end, with a little bit of closure (for us all I guess)! Again, some will call me weird, some will say I am a troll, some will say I am a simp... but all in all, I have no regrets, no bitter feelings for all that I did for her, for I did it all out of my free will. And, I am thankful for all our experiences, and for everything she (and this whole experience has) taught me.

I guess it was clear from the outset (even though I may not have wanted to admit it, being honest) that our friendship would progress this way, and hey, I am so happy for her! I will build on the lessons and experiences, be less of a simp... and life my life more for myself, than for everyone else.

I would like to thank everyone on this forum for their insights!

I hate to say this but you and I both already know the answer to this question.

Stop overthinking everything OP. Do what you enjoy, you'll find someone hopefully and when you do, don't overanalyze. Stand up for yourself and for her but if she's not showing reciprocal interest in you and your activities/ interests then move on quickly.
