Wow! I was unaware of the limited supply and increasing prices. I happen to have a black bezel Rolex Sea Dweller which looks similar to a Mariner but with fortified internals from what I understand. I bought it 12-14 years ago and rarely wear it. Might be time to take it to a few local jewelry stores and see what they will give me as I do not wear it any longer.

So, I'd expect significantly less than that from a jeweler. Last edited by hooligan_G01; 01-27-2021 at 07:54 AM.. |

Not a Submariner, but...
About a year ago I bought this gorgeous Deep Sea James Cameron from a trusted jeweler in Beverly Hills. It is not a Submariner, but I am a big guy (6'2", 180 lbs.) with big hands and wrists and I think this watch suits me even better.

Cameron is ugly. Want to sell it? I have been on the hunt for this one for a while. Have seen it as display only and even got to try it on. But no AD will sell.

I've always loved the GMT-Master’s look, and it’s actually been a fun conversation starter at times. I wear it a lot more than I probably should, but it’s such a cool piece. As for your Sea Dweller, I think you could get a decent offer at those jewelry stores—especially since it’s a vintage model now. It’s awesome you’re getting back into the watch scene, by the way.
