Let me clarify. I came out of an S550 Mustang with a Borla Switchfire and Ford Performance by Borla Aggressive mufflers. You are correct you will never get a G87 to sound like a V8 Mustang and I am not trying too. I don't think these cars sound good loud at all. The controller helps to get a little more out of it to somewhat satisfy that itch. I have to admit I actually like the fact that these cars are more quiet than the Mustang. You gave the car half throttle and shifted at 4k rpm and everyone thinks you are trying to race them. A short video of my Mustang.

Either way its useful even with an exhaust system.

The experience was useful--I've never considered a valve controller or had to with previous vehicles (e.g, I pulled the fuse in my Supra and left it at that). So, relative to other mods and costs in my experience, this won't be one I'll repeat.

I applaud the effort to enhance the features of the tech being made available to owners and enthusiasts. For my admittedly finite experience, when it comes to valve controllers whose effects I’ve found to be nominal, I might borrow from Occam's razor to help describe the utility of adding such features--at least in this case. That is, adding "capabilities" to a piece of tech which—again, in my limited/likely one-off experience—already seems embellished in its performance and is, therefore, not only a step beyond any demonstrable necessity but further aligns itself with a kind of greater antic so often encountered under the headline, “new and improved,” when in reality there is nothing true of the former and nothing, according to Occam, save a retail legerdemain in the latter.
