I ordered mine on the 22/7 and it arrived on 30/11 (the dealer received it on the 23/11). Straight in to the detailer for ceramic and ppf and picking up today 😆

I waited approximately 11 weeks for acceptance, I believe there was a hold up due to not adding the carbon roof. Which I added and I had added the heads up display

Yeah, I've thought about it for a few days and it's a deal breaker. The irony is I'm a BMW employee, (Motorrad) and BMW will not do employee discount on the M2 or the M5. I really wanted the M2 but with employee discount , I can get a new M4 for almost the same price. Hmmm....

M4 would have been my next choice after the M2. If you can get over the size of the M4 it is great value if you can get one for the same price.

As a current M4 owner, you can’t really go wrong with either! The M4 isn’t as tossable, but it’s a beast and very comfortable and capable!

Can be a couple of weeks to a couple months. Picking an individual color appears to delay the process some.

So non of the ones that are currently at the port that I was able to find, there very well could be one and I just wasn't able to find its schedule

but

there is a ship that will be arriving at Altamira on Dec 23
and will be heading towards:

BRUNSWICK, GA Arriving: Dec 27 Departing: Dec 28
BALTIMORE, MD Arriving: 30 Dec Departing: 31 Dec

tbh the whole shipping thing is a mess with BMW and you could be on a ship tomorrow or next year no clue

I heard people go from ready for transport to in transit overnight and others wait a month and a half. The average amount of days has been around 15-18 so lets hope you finally catch a break and get a ship soon.

Looks like I'm in the same situation. I'm in New Jersey and my 230xi is stuck in "Ready For Transport" as well. I didn't anticipate it would take this long. The order was placed with the factory on October 2.

Car ordered/deposit put down on 11/23; allocation secured/order sent 11/25; order accepted/Production No. received 11/26 (status 111). Been waiting for 112 since so I can call Genius and get my car's production week. The move from accepted to production scheduled typically takes 2-3 weeks, so I'm not expecting movement again until around Dec. 15 or so.

Aiming for delivery during the first week in March; average time between allocation submission to AG and delivery for M2s has consistently been about three months for the past several months, based on what I've seen. My car (BG, red interior/calipers) has several factory options but no port options; early March should be about right ...

... though these cars being held up in various production stages for weeks, with no apparent cause, is a little troubling. It's not the EPA, it's not the holidays, it's not an obvious labor issue, it doesn't appear to be a direct result of a component shortage, and it's sure as heck not a dealer inventory issue. The only thing I can figure is that BMW might be throttling back production and delivery for some unknown reason -- supply chain hiccups, allocation demand exceeding supply, what have you. The couple of anecdotes I've seen regarding transport scarcity (i.e., not enough trains/boats to move product) in Mexico make sense -- one can only hope that's temporary and not endemic of a larger problem.

Mine car as been assigned to carrier since 11-5-24. They produce 540 cars a day at the plant both M2 and 3 series including M340. They work 24/7. So 34 days since my car was produced x let’s use 500/day=17000 cars. Where are they or why is mine and yours setting in the parking lot.
